About the Program

Great stories shape the way we see the world, influencing, persuading, and giving voice to human experience. The Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Storytelling is an innovative, interdisciplinary program that combines narrative craft with visual design, digital media, and professional and creative writing. Students conceptualize, create, and share compelling stories across platforms, mastering the tools needed to make meaningful impact on their audience. Graduates are prepared for dynamic careers in digital and social media, corporate and nonprofit communications, journalism, creative writing and publishing—any field where powerful storytelling through words and images matters.

Build your foundation with seven (24-credit) core courses that teach you how to integrate words, images, and video to tell compelling stories across platforms. You'll explore storytelling theory, design principles, multimedia production, creative and professional writing, and cross-platform communication while developing the essential skills every multimedia storyteller needs.

Then choose your specialization: Select 18 credits in Media Design and Production, Creative Writing and Publishing, or Public Relations and social media based on your creative interests and career goals.
