About the Program

This Bachelor of Science program: 
You will:
  • gain knowledge of business practices, leadership skills and support services, rendering you highly in demand to deal with issues such as quality/process improvement, cost-saving strategies, risk management and more
  • be prepared to enter or advance an administration or management career in such organizations as: 
    • hospitals, health-care facilities and medical group practices
    • insurance organizations
    • pharmaceutical companies
    • federal and state government agencies
    • home health-care and long-term care programs
  • be versed in health management, business and public policy applied in the health care system, and the liberal arts with an emphasis on analytical, communication and technical skills.
The curriculum addresses the 10 critical content areas recommended by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration. This program prepares you to pursue UBalt’s Master of Science in Health Administration which includes the advanced courses necessary for executive careers.
