About the Program

 The program allows students to select certain courses in accordance with their interests. Teaching and research efforts are focused on the basic sciences of nutrition and foods and the application of knowledge in these disciplines to the maintenance of health and well being of human beings throughout the lifespan. Potential employment opportunities include research positions in laboratories, hospitals and industry. This program meets the needs of students who want to continue with their graduate work; it provides students a strong foundation for graduate studies in human nutrition and related fields, such as public health.
