Interpretive Biology and Natural History

 The Interpretive Biology & Natural History major prepares the environmentally conscious student to effectively communicate scientific concepts and processes with emphasis on the human dimensions of nature and conservation. This highly interdisciplinary program builds upon foundations in natural sciences and communication and offers many areas for specialization. Students will gain hands-on experience in interpretive programming, biocollection curation, and natural resources management, and are required to complete an experiential learning internship and senior practicum project. Graduates of the program will be prepared for a career in scientific communication, environmental education, biocollections management, and natural resource stewardship.
