Program Transfer Guide
Frostburg State University

About the Program

Earn dual certification to teach prekindergarten through 6th grade in Maryland.
Begin your career as an educator from one of only two programs in Maryland offering dual certification. With your early childhood/elementary education degree at Frostburg State University, you will complete an early childhood specialization and prepare to teach in any prekindergarten through sixth grade classroom.

You'll study with faculty members who have taught in preschool themselves, including some with up to 15 years of teaching experience. Your professors are dedicated to helping you excel in the early childhood classroom through one-on-one mentoring. Our instructors are respected members of the educational community who regularly attend and present at local, regional and national professional conventions.
