About the Program
With a bachelor’s degree in computer science, you’ll be able to plan, design, and optimize computer software and hardware systems for commercial and government environments. This versatile major provides you with a foundation in programming languages, software development, complex algorithms, and graphics and visualization.
The bachelor of science in computer science requires the successful completion of 120 credits of coursework:
- 41 credits in general education requirements
- 36 credits for the major; 18 of these credits must be earned in upper-level courses
- 43 credits in the minor, electives and other degree requirements.
This major includes 14 credits of required related coursework that may be used to satisfy the general education requirements or electives.
