About the Program

Welcome to the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, where we prepare students to make a difference in the world. We offer a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a master’s degree in Criminal Justice.

Our B.S. Criminal Justice curriculum and Criminal Justice master’s program are designed to give you the knowledge, skills, and experience you need to succeed in the criminal justice field. We cover a wide range of topics, from law enforcement to criminology to justice administration. We also prioritize the development of critical skills, such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication.

We believe that a diverse, inclusive learning environment is essential for preparing students to work in the real world. Our faculty are experienced professionals who are committed to creating a supportive and welcoming environment for all students.
